Retrocycles

A free online light cycle game in your browser. No download, no sign-up.

Retrocycles is Armagetron Advanced, the open-source lightcycle game, in your web browser. Your light cycle leaves a wall behind it. Make the other riders hit a wall, and do not hit one yourself. The game is fast, and a round is short.

Ways to play

• Quick Play: join an online room with other players at once. You score when another rider hits your wall. After a crash, you ride again.
• Challenge a Friend: send a friend a link and play a 1v1 Sumo match, first to 12 points.
• Leaderboards: see where you rank against everyone in Quick Play.
• Server Browser: join the Armagetron Advanced community servers.
• Training: practise against the AI, alone.

Start to play

Open retrocycles.io and press Quick Play. You play as a guest; an account is optional and keeps your name and progress. Turn with the arrow keys, or D F and J K. Hold Space or the down arrow to brake. On a phone or tablet, tap the arrow buttons at each side of the screen.
