Age
Who can play, who can have an account, and what parents and schools should know. Effective 13 October 2026.
Accounts: 13 and older
You must be 13 or older to create an account. In some countries you must be older (up to 16 in parts of the EU) to agree on your own to how a service uses your data; if that is you, a parent or guardian must agree for you.
Playing as a guest
You don't need an account to play. Guests do not provide an email address or any name other than the one typed into the game. Guests still get a random ID so their games and progress can be recorded, as the privacy policy describes. Guests under 13 may play but must not chat in official rooms.
Regardless of age, don't put your real name, age, school, address or photos in your player name or in chat, and don't ask anyone else for theirs.
Parents
If your child under 13 created an account or gave us personal information, write to support@retrocycles.io. We will delete the account and the information. You can also ask us what we hold about your child.
Chat in the official rooms follows the code of conduct, and anyone can report a player.
Schools and shared computers
- Students can play as guests without signing up.
- On a shared computer, "New player" (open the name, top right) starts a new guest for the next student. Selecting "shared computer" at sign-in ends the session when the browser closes.
- A classroom often shares one IP address. We do not ban IP addresses on their own, so one player's ban does not lock out the whole class.
